ST. BLAISE (the physician) PATRON SAINT ROSARY
St. Blaise was known as a healer of both men and animals, but in particular is invoked for throat problems having saved a child from choking. He was martyred for refusing to recant his faith. One of his symbols is the dual candles used during the blessing of the throat on his feast day.
The central disc is pewter with the Saint image set into the centerpiece with the Blessed Mother on the reverse, with a pewter crucifix.
