Elizabeth, a princess, married at the early age of 13 and built a hospital at the bottom of the mountain near her castle. Attending the sick herself, she was opposed by her family but insisted she would follow only Christs teachings. When her husband died, Elizabeth sold all she had and worked to support her four children. Patroness of bakers, beggars, brides, charities, homeless, hospitals, nursing homes and services, people ridiculed for their piety, toothache, tramps and widows.
