ST. FLORIAN (of Lorch, Roman solidier) PATRON SAINT ROSARY
St. Florian was a 3rd century Roman officer and a closet Christian. It is said that he saved a town from burning by prayer, and throwing a single bucket of water on the flames. Thus he is patron of firefighters, chimney sweeps and protects the faithful from fire. When his faith was found out, he was martyred.
The central disc is pewter with the Saint image set into the centerpiece with the Blessed Mother on the reverse, with a pewter crucifix.
