ST. FRANCIS (of Assisi) PATRON SAINT ROSARY
One of the most beloved of the Catholic saints, this holy man is patron to animals as well as Earth stewardship. A man of wealth, he chose to give it up and live in poverty, founding an order of brothers and later joined by St. Clare of the Poor Clares. He often pictured with birds, or a wolf, animals connected to legends of the saint.
The central disc is pewter with the Saint image set into the centerpiece with the Blessed Mother on the reverse, with a pewter crucifix.
