ST. LAWRENCE (of Rome, Deacon; Martyr) PATRON SAINT ROSARY
This holy martyr was a deacon under Pope St. Sixtus who told him that he would follow him in death three days after his own. Lawrence used this time to sell any goods he had to the poor, and on the third day was roasted on a grate. God filled him with such love that he hardly felt the flames and is said to have joked, "Turn me over, I'm done on this side."
The central disc is pewter with the Saint image set into the centerpiece with the Blessed Mother on the reverse, with a pewter crucifix.
