ST. MAXIMILIAN KOLBE (of Poland; Died in Auschwitz) PATRON SAINT ROSARY
This holy man was a native of Poland and began a worldwide movement and magazine called "Knight of the Immaculata" dedicated to Mary. He was arrested by the Nazi`s and sent to Auschwitz where he endured two weeks of starvation and neglect, having offered to die in place of a young husband and father.
The central disc is pewter with the Saint image set into the centerpiece with the Blessed Mother on the reverse, with a pewter crucifix.
