ST. MAXIMILIAN KOLBE (of Poland; Died in Auschwitz) PATRON SAINT ROSARY
This holy man was a native of Poland and began a worldwide movement and magazine called "Knight of the Immaculata" dedicated to Mary. He was arrested by the Nazi's and sent to Auschwitz where he endured two weeks of starvation and neglect, having offered to die in place of a young husband and father.
The central disc is pewter with the Saint image set into the centerpiece with the Blessed Mother on the reverse, with a pewter crucifix.
