This is the story of St. Barbara, who began her journey as the daughter of a Roman govenor and follower of the old gods and ways of Rome. But when her house slave, whom she thought of as a sister, was condemned because of her Christian faith, Barbara rebelled. She began to protest loudly in defense of Christian folk, to alleviate some of the persecution. When her words do not move them, she plans a daring rescue and escape for her Christian friends.
