Support a Seminarian

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your inquiry into the “Support a Seminarian” program!

Every year during the late summer our brick and mortar store experiences the annual influx of many seminarians getting ready for school! This is a great sign for the future of the Church!! Here in St. Paul, MN we are blessed to have not one, but two national seminaries...St. John Vianney College Seminary, and the Saint Paul Seminary. Also, across the country many young men are entering seminaries in other cities, like Mount St Mary’s in Emmitsburg, St Charles Borromeo in Philadelphia, Kenrick-Glennon in St. Louis, the Josephinum in Columbus, and Our Lady of Guadalupe in Denton, to name a few.

Depending on the academic year the individual seminarian is enrolled in often determines which particular items they need to purchase. For example; all new seminarians are required to own a cassock and surplice at a minimum, while seminarians entering their first year of theology must purchase their own clerical shirts. As one gets closer to ordination, costs can include an alb, a chalice, a sick call set, or a Mass kit. So, as each year progresses, these purchases can be quite a bit of money for a student.

Here at the Leaflet Missal Company, we are dedicated to assisting these men in any way that we can, which is why we are setting up the “Support a Seminarian” program to help allocate your donations to our future priests. I will personally make the connection between you and the seminarian wherever he may be.
