The dark areas of this print are black - from any distance it looks like a poorly exposed photo with the white of the skin on his face and the eyes and hair all black - the shadowy areas around his tunic are also very dark. We have a beautiful image of our Lady on the wall next to Him and this definitely suffers in comparison. We're going to have to find an alternative when we can budget for it. Essentially, we paid for an expensive frame. I like Leaflet a lot, and all their wonderful selection, but I can't recommend this - I've seen this image before and it was definitely not this dark so I don't know what happened, perhaps just a poor quality print.
