Anna Maria Taigi was very devoted to the Poor Souls, so she would offer these prayers to obtain favors and rest (requiem) for them. The centerpiece features Our Lady of Mount Carmel taking souls out of Purgatory, with the Sacred Heart on the back. When prayed twice daily, 100 prayers are offered for those suffering in the purgative fires.
