This film is based on the true story of eight Trappist monks living in harmony with their Muslim brothers in a monastery perhched in the mountains of North Africa in the 1990's. When a crew of foreign workers is massacred by Islamic terrorists, fear sweeps through the region. Should the monks leave their home and the people they serve? Or should they stay despite the threat of violent death?
